How to find Kamloops United Church
We are a downtown ministry.
if you are coming from the west:
Coming down Columbia Street, you will see Royal Inland Hospital on your right, get into the left lane, turn left onto 3rd Avenue, then the second right - St. Paul Street - our friendly church is located at the corner of 4th and St. Paul. You will see a greeter, who will answer and questions you may have. There is wheelchair and walker access at the back on the church, and street parking is free on Sundays.
From the East:
The easiest way is to take the downtown exit off of the Trans Canada Hwy, turn left onto Columbia Street at the first intersection, follow Columbia Street until you come to 5th Avenue, turn right then left on St. Paul Street. Parking on the street is free on Sundays.
There will be a person to greet you at the door on Sunday at 9:30 AM and they can answer any questions you have prior to the service which starts at 10:00 am. There is sound enhancement equipment available for you and envelopes for those who wish to donate and receive a tax receipt. There is a supervised church school and a supervised babyfold room where you and your baby can watch the service if you are feeling anxious about your baby making noises - BUT we really dont mind; its all part of community!
Our service is informal so come as you are! Communion service is on the first sunday of every month and we serve bread and rice crackers for those with allergies, and grape juice. Communion is for ALL - you dont need to be "confirmed" or anything else to attend communion in our church. There is always coffee, tea and juice in the fellowship hall after every service. We have lots of information about our small group ministries, including folk of note if you love to sing.
See you there!!! :-)
